Short version: this tool reads a photo's EXIF metadata inside your browser only. The photo you choose is never sent to any server, and we never keep a copy of it.

1. How the tool works

When you select or drop a photo into the tool, it is processed entirely by JavaScript running locally in your browser. The image file is never uploaded to our servers or any third party, and it is not stored after you close the page or remove the photo.

2. What data is displayed

The tool displays metadata that was already embedded in the image file itself (such as device type, model, shooting settings, and GPS coordinates if present). This data existed in the file before you uploaded it; the tool does not "infer" or guess a location from the image's visual content — it only reads what is explicitly recorded inside the file.

3. Cookies and advertising

This site uses cookies for basic, aggregate analytics (such as page views) that are not linked to your identity. We do not use these to track which photos users upload, since photos never reach us in the first place.

This site may display ads served through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
